(June 11, 2015) … The obvious take-away from this wine is that Quatro means 4 and there are four grapes in the blend: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Carmenere and Malbec … From the title you should also notice this is a 10 year old wine, so how does a ten-year old Chilean sub-$20 blend stand the test of time? Not bad, if you like your wines of the spicy-peppery ilk. Aromas were quite spicy with cracked black pepper and spiced-dried-raspberry – palate was dried of fruit, a la cran-cherry, with white pepper and cedar notes making the finish full of dry tannins. Not bad, but not great.
