(January 24, 2020) … I bought this wine for two reasons: 1) I loved the label and 2) it was damn fine wine inside – now that it is over 10 years old I’m still a lover of the label as well as the wine inside. Notes of minty/eucalyptus and plum meet up with cassis, black cherry, and mocha … palate also proves to be silky smooth with a touch of white pepper and good acidity on the finish. These Aussie screwcap wines are proving to be diamonds, where once they seemed a bit “jammy” have now aged to perfection.
