Inniskillin 2004 Klose Cab Sauv(September 19, 2016) … This wine is an odd duck, it was produced in a not-so-great vintage, cool by memory, yet it tasted great when young and still possesses great characteristics now that it’s old (12 years old to be specific) … The nose is black cherry and licorice, not at all what I was expecting; it’s more on the palate where this wine shows more of it’s age: licorice, dried plum, smoky, and herbal-cherry – it’s a good bottle of wine still … Hats off to the maker, who knew what he was doing when putting this one together.
