{"id":780,"date":"2011-05-30T00:33:21","date_gmt":"2011-05-30T00:33:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wp.michaelpinkuswinereview.com\/index.php\/2011\/05\/30\/report-from-portugal-g7-may-2-2011\/"},"modified":"2011-05-30T00:33:21","modified_gmt":"2011-05-30T00:33:21","slug":"report-from-portugal-g7-may-2-2011","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wp.michaelpinkuswinereview.com\/index.php\/2011\/05\/30\/report-from-portugal-g7-may-2-2011\/","title":{"rendered":"Report from &#8211; Portugal G7 &#8230; May 2, 2011"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It seems like forever since the G7 blew into town, but I bet if I looked it up its only been a couple of years at most (<a href=\"http:\/\/ontheroadwithgrapeguy.blogspot.com\/2009\/11\/report-from-g7-wines-of-portugal-wine.html\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">for the curious it was October 2009<\/span><\/a>).\u00a0  A lot seems to have happened to this consortium in the interim &#8211; they  no longer represent 7 wineries, due to attrition (some left some were  bought out) only 5 wineries remain &#8230; but they do represent 7 of  Portugal&#8217;s main regions: Douro, Vinho Verde, Bairrada, Dao, Lisbon,  Alentejo and Terras do Sado.\u00a0 Five winery principals joined us for a  presentation of the 7 regions, their wines, lunch and more wine &#8211; so  let&#8217;s get right down to it.
