Time to start looking at the wines from Umbria, A Montefalco, the Anteprima for the Sagrantino area. I’ll kick this one off with the Grechetto and the Bianco … sadly, two of my least favourite wines. This year I add a little “personal aside” to my notes. These are spur of the moment comments that I wrote at the time of the tasting, after going through all the wines in that category.<\/p>\n

Personal Aside:<\/strong><\/em> Grechetto, to me, continues to lack personality – even the top wine on this list really defies definition and the GOOD are just drinkable. Not sure how to help Grechetto as a variety, I know some people love it, but when compared to something else, it lacks personality.<\/p>\n

Tenuta Alzatura 2023 “Aria Di Casa”<\/em><\/span>
Personal Aside:<\/strong><\/em> Truly one of the most lasckluster of the tasting sections. I wish I had better news, but I really find these wines boring and uneventful. Drop these and concentrate on Spoletino, please.<\/p>\n
