I will admit I did not get to them all. This year I did a 50-wine sampling from a variety of regions and levels. The good news is the 35 of the 50 made the report &hellip; That&rsquo;s effectively a 70% rate of getting a good wine (at the minimum) in your glass; and when it comes to wine I&rsquo;ll take those odds any day.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">I applied my Good, Better, Best approach to the Chianti Lovers this year &ndash; and instead of separating the wines into their categories I put them in alphabetical order by way of producer. Also, any wine that received BEST or BETTER has a note as to why I believe it deserves that score.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Wines<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" alignleft size-full wp-image-6727\" src=\"https:\/\/wp.michaelpinkuswinereview.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/CL_-_Motta.png\" alt=\"CL Motta\" style=\"margin-right: 7px; float: left;\" width=\"150\" height=\"294\" \/>Alberto Motta 2021 Morellino di Scansano DOCG Riserva<\/em><\/span><br \/>Nice mix of fruit and functionality &#8211; acidity and tannins help clean up the finish.&nbsp; <strong>(BETTER)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>Bonacchi 2023 Chianti DOCG<\/em><\/span> &#8230; <strong>GOOD<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>Bruni 2021 Morellino di Scansano DOCG Riserva<\/em><\/span> &#8230; <strong>GOOD<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>Cantina La Selva 2023 Morellino di Scansano DOCG<\/em><\/span> &#8230; <strong>GOOD<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Cantina La Selva 2021 Morellino di Scansano DOCG Riserva<\/span><\/em> &#8230; <strong>GOOD<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>Cantina Vignaioli Scansano 2023 Morellino di Scansano DOCG &#8220;Roggiano&#8221; <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" alignright size-full wp-image-6728\" src=\"https:\/\/wp.michaelpinkuswinereview.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/CL_-_Roggiano.png\" alt=\"CL Roggiano\" style=\"margin-left: 7px; float: right;\" width=\"120\" height=\"182\" \/><\/em><\/span><br \/>I like this vineyard &#8211; there is some freshness and some fruit here that plays with wood and tannins &#8211; acidity cleans things out.&nbsp; <strong>(BETTER)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>Cantina Vignaioli Scansano 2021 Morellino di Scansano DOCG Riserva &#8220;Roggiano&#8221;<\/em><\/span><br \/>Good acidity with some dark fruit and spice notes.&nbsp; <strong>(BETTER)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>Castello Sonnino 2022 Chianti Montespertoli DOCG<\/em><\/span> <br \/>The acidity shines through, then in comes the fruit, then the subtle bite of tannins. Give this a few years and opala!&nbsp; <strong>(BETTER)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>Colognole 2022 Chianti Rufina DOCG<\/em><\/span> &#8230; <strong>GOOD<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>Fattoria di Doccia 2022 Chianti Rufina DOCG<\/em><\/span><br \/>Black cherry and a touch of smoke, juicy middle &#8211; nice finish &#8211; should sit in a cellar for a few years easily.&nbsp; <strong>(BETTER)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>Fattoria Fibbiano 2022 Chianti Superiore DOCG<\/em><\/span> &#8230; <strong>GOOD<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>Fattoria Lavacchio 2022 Chianti Rufina DOC<\/em><\/span>G &#8230; <strong>GOOD<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>Fattoria San Michaele a Torri 2021 Chianti Colli Fiorentini DOCG Riserva<\/em><\/span> &#8230; <strong>GOOD<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>Fattoria Torre a Cona 2022 Chianti Colli Fiorentini DOCG<\/em><\/span> &#8230; <strong>GOOD<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" alignleft size-full wp-image-6729\" src=\"https:\/\/wp.michaelpinkuswinereview.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/CL_-_terro_cona_-_small.png\" alt=\"CL terro cona small\" style=\"margin-right: 7px; <strong>GOOD<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>Malenchini 2021 Chianti Colli Fiorentini DOCG Riserva<\/em><\/span><br \/>Blackberry, cassis and subtle cedar notes &#8211; there&#8217;s good acidity that makes the fruit more playful.&nbsp; <strong>GOOD<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>Marchesi Gondi 2021 Chianti Rufina DOCG Riserva<\/em><\/span> &#8230; <strong>GOOD<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>Marzocco di Poppiano 2021 Chianti Colli Fiorentini DOCG Riserva<\/em><\/span> &#8230;
