Today was the exception as the leaky cork on this bottle forced me to take notice and open it &#8230; Aromas were of dried plum (prune), fig, and dried cherry; palate follows in lock-step with the nose. It was an interestingly odd, smooth, and drinkable wine, still with a nice balance of acidity and just a touch of sweet cedar on the finish.
