(November 8, 2014) … I have long been a fan of the Red Paw Pinot, in its infancy, but have never tried one this old.  At 7 years from vintage I was really not sure what to expect, but I have to say I was impressed by what I got.  Nose is first and foremost earthy, with the balance of the aromas being floral and strawberry.  I found the flavors to be quite pretty and followed the floral of the nose in the violet vein with gentle and delicate red fruit backing … Not sure how much longer is left in the bottle, but it is sealed under screwcap so that should preserve it for some length of time more; but now is a pretty good time to crack the cap and enjoy.
