Cesari 2016 Amarone della Valpolicella Classico
To kick things off there’s a heavy coffee bean note on the nose followed by some sweet black fruit and vanilla, black cherry, coffee, chocolate; plus good acidity and nice tannin structure. It’s a little chewy, black fruited with a full on smoky finish, but there’s also a lovely long linger … ready now, but could age a number of years (7-10). (**** 1/2)
