Tabali 2014 Vetas Blanca’s Reserva Especial – Cabernet Franc (Chile)

Tabali Cab Franc(April 7, 2019) … If memory serves the reason I got this wine in the first place is because seeing a single variety Cabernet Franc outside of the Loire (or Ontario) is a rarity and curiosity got the better of me … and now it’s to find out how it has aged … the answer: quite well.

The aromas are quite alluring right off the hop: mint, black cherry, vanilla, even some white pepper, mocha and cassis join the fray … the palate was also quite interesting if not less giving with its notes of mocha, black cherry, tobacco and spice – it had a great mouthfeel that proved to be a little dusty on the finish, which increased the more it sat open.
