(April 27, 2018) … I loved this wine upon it’s release but now some 6 years later is is not offering up the same satisfaction: tannins, tannins and more tannins is what is coming out of the glass from the get-go and it never resolves itself no matter what you do and time is not on its side. This a a hard to drink wine and the fruit never pokes around the corner, not even for a minute it’s all coffee, bitter cocoa, smoke, and yes, tannins with an exceedingly rough finish. Not even good for salad – maybe to break down fat in a marinade?
